The Akidamy Curriculum and Programs
Our curriculum sparks curiosity and a love of learning in children aged three months to five years. Influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach and RIE and Pikler philosophies, we emphasise self-expression, exploration, and play-based activities.
We provide excellent care and nutritious meals, supporting each child’s individual journey. Our programmes are tailored to reflect the uniqueness of every child, including engaging Italian lessons, sign language, art, and yoga sessions that foster creativity, focus, and calmness.

A Childhood Teacher in every Studio
Each Studio at The Akidamy has an evidence based education program and curriculum. Every age group has a dedicated early childhood teacher to support children to reach their developmental milestones.
Atelier
Our Atelier (Italian for Art Studio) is the heart of our school. Filled with wonder and fascination, children engage in creative activities that encourage curiosity and self-expression.
Projects combine art, science and a treasure trove of materials to excite all the senses.
Italian Language
Your child will learn the beauty of the Italian language with an Italian teacher experienced in working with both children and adults. Early exposure to a second language at our Schools sparks curiosity and linguistic development.
Meals
Our seasonal vegetarian menu is lovingly prepared from scratch each day by our onsite Chef. Our meals are designed to be both nutritious and delicious, and your child will often enjoy them in the fresh air to make the most of Perth’s wonderful climate.
Yoga and Mindfulness
As a play-based childcare centre, we believe in nurturing both the body and mind. Our yoga and mindfulness sessions are designed to develop your child’s flexibility, core strength, inner calm and resilience. Led by a skilled instructor, these sessions encourage wellbeing and help children navigate tricky emotions.
Sign Language Program
Through our ‘Signing Hands’ program, our youngest learners are empowered with the tools to express their needs and emotions early on, ensuring that every child’s voice is understood.
