Our Story
The Akidamy blossomed from our founders’ passion to provide children and families with the opportunity to be supported, encouraged and inspired from the earliest of beginnings. As parents of three children themselves, Michael and Natalie were committed to creating an early learning space where children are loved like family and given every chance to learn, grow, and develop.
Since our beginnings in 2018 we have been industry leaders and take our responsibility to demonstrate a higher standard in early childhood education in Australia very seriously. Our commitment to our values guides every decision we make and is evidenced in each child’s experience.
We have worked tirelessly to build a team that is skilled, compassionate and dedicated to help each child feel respected, supported, encouraged, inspired, listened to and cared for.
We understand the journey of raising young children and are honoured to be part of yours.

Our Education Philosophy
At the Akidamy, we’re inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, complimented by RIE and Pikler philosophies. These child centered approaches ensure we put children and families first.
Our beautiful spaces offer a welcoming environment for children to play, discover and grow with tailor made experiences. We encourage them to lead their own learning, exploring their fascinations through touch, movement, listening and observation encompassing The Hundred Languages of Children.
Exploration is fundamental to our approach, providing an environment where children feel safe, empowered and inspired to enjoy autonomy and self-expression.
We ensure our programs for each age group align with the National Early Years Learning Framework milestones to set goals and deliver engaging education experiences for each child.
Our Village
We believe in the interconnectedness of children, families, educators and the wider world; a strong, supportive community is essential for children to flourish. Families are an integral part of our village, and we work in partnership with each of our families to better understand and nurture their children.
The Akidamy team comprises of tertiary qualified teachers and educators supported by professionals such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, sign language instructors and specialist teachers in art, Italian language, yoga and mindfulness. Their expertise enriches our programs to deliver inclusive, comprehensive care and education.
