Get to know Ms Natasha
Meet Ms Natasha, the dedicated Studio Lead at The Akidamy’s Perth School in the Kindergarten 3 Studio. Since joining The Akidamy family in 2020, Natasha has been pivotal in several studios, with the majority of her time spent in the Kindergarten 3 Studio at Perth.
What do you love about your Studio?
I love everything about my Studio. I find immense joy in the children, the team, and the work we do together. It just works so well, and I love being part of it.
Where did you grow up?
The city of Nottingham, in the United Kingdom, is the home of Robin Hood.
What is your advocacy area?
I’m a capo (champion) for mental health. I think looking after mental health is essential, not just for the children, but also for the staff.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
I worked on a watermelon farm for three months! It was hard work, planting seeds, weeding and picking watermelons. It has put me off watermelons – I can’t eat them now.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
I’d love to be able to afford a weekly blow-dry.
What’s your favourite way to spend Sunday afternoon?
I love to read in my reading room and video call my sisters in the UK. We have a group call every Sunday to catch up, take quizzes, and play games.
What do you never leave the house without?
A good book and a packet of biscuits
What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to learn?
Piano and ballet. I’m currently learning ballet and I love it.
What’s the best vacation you’ve ever had?
I came to Australia for a two-month holiday and never left.
Sweet or savoury?
Both. It depends on the day. I love a good cheese platter, but I can’t pass up a biscuit.
Loose parts or messy play?
My favourites are dramatic play and storytelling – there is something really special about seeing the children being creative, dressing up and telling stories.
