The Akidamy Evolution

Reflective Practice: Building the Next Layer of Our Story

At The Akidamy, we believe that extraordinary early learning is built upon a foundation of extraordinary leadership. As we look toward the 2026 school year, we are proud to announce the natural growth of our Leadership Collective—a strategic deepening of our team designed to ensure our Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum and operational excellence continue to flourish

1. A Collective Approach to Leadership

Rather than a traditional hierarchy, The Akidamy operates through a Leadership Collective. This model ensures that every aspect of your child’s experience—from the aesthetic beauty of our intentional learning environments to the depth of our educational research—is overseen by a specialist leader.

2. Deepening Our Pedagogical Heart: Mrs Erin

We are proud to announce the appointment of Mrs Erin to the role of Education Leader (Pedagogista). Following a rigorous selection process, Erin transitions from her beloved role as Atelierista to lead our pedagogical direction.

Reporting to our School Director, Mrs Hannah, Erin’s mission is to partner with our educators to ensure our high standards of practice remain world-class. Her existing connections with our children ensure that this new layer of leadership is grounded in trust, helping us remain a leading Perth early learning school.

3. Honouring Our Foundation: Mrs Nina

Furthermore, we are honoured that Mrs Nina is deepening her commitment to the school as Head of Studios – Perth. As a former School Director and a cornerstone of our school’s “institutional soul,” Nina’s experience is a vital anchor for our community.

Working in close partnership with Mrs Hannah, Nina utilises her expertise to oversee safety compliance and studio excellence. Her presence ensures that our high-quality childcare standards and environments remain global benchmarks for the Pikler and RIE philosophies.

4. Preserved Legacy, Future Vision

As we build this next layer, we also celebrate the seven-year legacy of Mrs Katelyn. Katelyn is currently documenting “The Akidamy Way”, ensuring our collective systems are refined as a foundation for the future before she begins her maternity leave.

This evolution of our team reflects our commitment to reflective practice—always honouring our past while reaching upward to refine our vision for the families we serve.
