An Important Update for Perth Families
The Akidamy School of Early Learning
Perth
105 Summers St, Perth WA 6000

Entering the Akidamy’s Perth school, there is an immediate feeling of warmth and openness in this award-winning space. Established in Perth in 2018, our early learning school was designed with both children and families in mind, blending natural light with thoughtful, accessible features to create a nurturing environment for your child.
The school comprises two distinct buildings: Summers House, designed for Nursery and Toddler-aged children, features small classrooms, cozy sleeping areas, an Art Studio (Atelier), a yoga/music room, and an outdoor play area. Cheriton House, located at the rear, serves kindergarten-aged children and includes studios for both kindergarten three and four, a thoughtfully designed project space, an outdoor yoga deck, and a loose-parts playscape with water play.

- Your child thrives in an architecturally designed environment which is both stimulating and meticulously safe and secure.
Our school in Perth embodies an open design philosophy, featuring glass doors that promote transparency and an inclusive atmosphere. We can accommodate up to 90 children in a bespoke learning environment tailored to encourage reflection, engagement, and interaction. Each studio has been meticulously crafted by education experts to ensure accessibility and to foster seamless play between indoor and outdoor areas.
La Cucina, our kitchen, is open to families and children, inviting them to be part of the daily rhythm of the school.

Our Studios and Learning Spaces
Nursery Studio
Ages 3 - 18 months
Our nursery provides a warm and respectful environment for your baby. Featuring a thoughtfully designed outdoor area just for them, the nursery supports your child’s sensory development and growth with a gentle touch.
There are currently two separate studios that we offer: Nursery 1 is for children aged three to twelve months, and Nursery 2 is for children aged twelve to eighteen months, which are designed specifically for those age groups.
Toddler Studio
Ages 18 months to 2.5 Years
In this space, toddlers are encouraged to explore and engage in activities that stimulate their minds and bodies. Our Perth pre-kindergarten space is designed to guide, support, and encourage your child’s growing independence and curiosity with ample opportunities for discovery.
We have two neighbouring studios, Toddler 1 and Toddler 2, which share an Artier Studio. This studio specifically caters to that age group, allowing children to play and learn in smaller groups.
This area has access to its own outdoor playspace, specifically designed for children to foster play, rhythm, and coordination.
Kindergarten 3 Studio
Ages 2.5 to 3.5 years
Our Kindergarten 3 space nurtures the blossoming verbal skills and sense of agency in children aged 2.5 to 3.5 years. Your child will benefit from collaborative learning and the mentorship of older peers, gaining confidence, skills, and knowledge.
Kindergarten 4 Studio
Ages 3.5 to 5 years
Our Kindergarten 4 children are developing into independent, socially adaptable, and resilient individuals. Their ability to articulate and drive their learning is developing rapidly. Here they will be supported in learning and understanding the world around them.
Our School Readiness Programme nurtures their physical and cognitive growth to prepare them for the next step in their schooling journey. Our Kindergarten 4 children enjoy their own outdoor environment too – designed to encourage and challenge their developmental stage.
Atelier - Art Studio
Our Atelier (or art studio) invites children to build, explore and create. An array of ever-changing materials encourages investigation and curiosity for them to create stories, communicate ideas and evoke memories. Our dedicated Atelierista (Miss Erin, our creative arts educator) works with each studio’s teacher to enhance the children’s learning journey with a tailored creative experience.
Project Space
A dedicated project space for our Kindergarten 3 and 4 children provides the perfect canvas for them to embrace creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. They are encouraged to think big, experiment openly, and extend their play and learning.
It offers hands-on activities that boost social and cognitive development, making learning fun and engaging.
Yoga and Music Room
Shared across the school, our music and meeting room invites children to explore music, movement and language. With resources for rhythm, dance and singing, your child will be supported to develop their creative expression and build important skills.
La Cucina
La Cucina (Italian for ‘kitchen’), is a welcoming space where children can watch, and sometimes take part in, the preparation of their meals. The delicious smells and visible cooking process create a warm, comfortable atmosphere that connects families and children.
The school is committed to providing nutritious and delicious vegetarian meals for every child, with our on-site chef in an open-facing kitchen delivering the highest quality of meals.
Outdoor Playspace
Our enriching outdoor area includes a veggie patch, turfed mound, mud pit, limestone riverbed, sand kitchen, water channel, and timber climbing wall.
The outdoor playscape has separate areas for each major studio age group to ensure accessibility, fun, and physical development. Our outdoor playspace has also been designed for all-weather play; it offers a nature-filled environment for exploration and fun.
