More Than Just Numbers: Why The Akidamy will always have more staff than legally required.

At The Akidamy School of Early Learning, we believe in exceeding the minimum staff-to-child ratios required by law. This commitment to having extra staff ensures that every child receives the attention, care, and education they deserve. Every Studio at the Akidamy is staffed by its own Early Childhood Teacher as well as a Studio Lead. On top of this, we have a wider team of professionals supporting the studios daily. The benefits of this structure are endless…

Great for children:
Every child develops differently, with unique needs and interests. More staff allows educators to offer personalised care, ensuring that each child feels supported and understood. Whether it’s helping a child with a challenge or offering comfort, extra staff create stronger connections and a better learning environment.

Children thrive in environments where they can explore and engage in hands-on activities. The Akidamy is able to offer more small-group learning opportunities, allowing children to dive deeper into educational play and ask more questions. This fosters curiosity and a love for learning from an early age.

Early childhood is not just about academics; it’s also about developing emotional and social skills. Having additional staff allows teachers and educators to spend more time guiding children through social interactions, helping them learn to manage emotions, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships.

Great for families:
For parents, knowing their child is receiving individual care is priceless. By exceeding legal ratios, The Akidamy provides reassurance that every child is in a safe, nurturing environment where their needs are met, and their development is prioritised.

Great for our team:
Extra staff also benefits the team hugely, helping prevent burnout by sharing responsibilities. This ensures that teachers can stay focused, energetic, and passionate about their work. It also allows for ongoing professional development, as staff can attend training without disrupting the children’s care.

The Akidamy School of Early Learning understands that having extra staff isn’t just about meeting regulations—it’s about creating an environment where children receive personalised care and learning opportunities. This commitment ensures that each child’s early education is rich, supportive, and filled with meaningful experiences.
